Track #7 Breakbeater by Paradox is the latest track in this selection, the most recent release. It's from a two-tracker on Sneaker Social Club; I played the B side Detronic back in MTT 317. Breakbeater is a spare and heavy drum workout, a style Paradox excels at, really awesome tune. I have it pitched down quite a lot in this mix so I suggest you check out the original at the link above.
Track #13 On The Run (Sbassship Encryption) and #14 Dominant Race by Dagobert and Gab.Gato respectively are both from the German label Dominance Electricity. I set out to play DE this week and these two are what made the cut, what felt right. Most of the Dominance Electricity I have sounds like warm weather music to me so I try to hold on to them for the summer months. The latter of those two (the one with the, ah, challenging track name) is from the Global Surveyor Phase 2 compilation. I've played a lot of pieces from that comp for this mix series over the years & I think it's a good place to start with DE's catalog if you're unfamiliar.
This is kind of a loose one. I nailed a few of the hard parts & then wiffed some of the easy ones. Apologies for the slop. As always the links above will take you to where you can purchase these releases (all but two are available digitally this time). I'll be back with another set soon, hopefully before next Thursday. More electro, maybe some '80s tunes for a change.
]]>Working through an odd mismatched selection this week. Electro and IDM then into four-on-the-floor house, techno, '90s bits, etc. . Nothing new I'm afraid but some nice old tunes from Cabaret Voltaire, FSOL, Legowelt, Safety Scissors, and more.

16. | Legowelt / Master Of The Druids | 57:45 |
As mentioned above nothing here is a "new" release really so I'm going to pick & highlight just a couple pieces starting with track #3 Pipio by Claudio Solis. Solis's sound, his production, is solidly house / minimal / techno I think. The tracks where he strays from a four-on-the-floor beat are super interesting to me, particularly most of SOLIS003, SOLIS004, and SOLIS006. Track two Pravritti from the more recently released SOLIS010 is also very cool & worth a listen.
I'd also like to call attention to track #12 Brutal But Clean by Cabaret Voltaire from their 1994 album The Conversation released on Apollo Records (and Instinct Records in the US). I've played a few pieces from The Conversation for this series over the years (including Brutal But Clean) and have recommended the album before & I'm doing so once again today. It's the last Cab album to be written by both Kirk and Mallinder (as far as I know) and deserves to be heard in full, it's really excellent.
Three weeks late! (Approximately three weeks, anyway). Episodes may be irregular in the coming months as I try to ramp back up, try to find my ear (and some inspiration). In the meantime as usual the links above will take you to where you can purchase these tracks (more of them are available digitally than I would have thought). I'll try to be back next week with another mix, maybe some fast electro to go with the approaching summer heat.

15. | GD Luxxe / Keep Me | 53:25 |
16. | CYBEREIGN / Secret Lives | 56:51 |
Alright so the most recent tracks here are #13 Earthsea by BufoBufo from 2021, #11 Oedo 808 by Lone from 2018, and #3 Honey by Reedale Rise also from 2018. I wanted to play Earthsea in particular, I love how bouncy and dynamic it is, love the short beat changeup to Skull Snaps, love the overall simplicity of it. Great tune.
Two versions of Keep Me by GD Luxxe appear in this set: the original as first released on The 20th Door on Interdimensional Transmissions, and DMX Krew's remix as first released on The 21st Door Remixed also on Interdimensional. Once I'd played one version I knew I had to play both. I've been using lyrics from Keep Me as mix titles for years now & have been meaning to play it for just as long. It's hard to pick a favorite from Luxxe's incredible run of 2000s synthpop; today it's Keep Me, tomorrow it might be Quiet Life or maybe Cities.
That's it for notes I think. This one's coming out on Wednesday 'cause I fell behind by a week & I'm trying to catch up. The links above will take you to where you can check out (and in most cases purchase) these albums. And I'll be back next week with another mix, something slower, as usual.

There's two tracks I'd like to highlight this week, first being #5 SSS (OG Cut) by Shanti Celeste & Funkineven. Really warm tune, love the wandering bass synth, always makes me think of summer. I can't remember where I first heard it (or when exactly I picked it up). I'm surprised I haven't played it more often; the last time seems to be MTT 073.
Descenso by Mano De Fuego is the second I'd like to call out. Descenso is on the UR Presenta Mano De Fuego EP released last year on, as the name suggests, Underground Resistance. Somehow I completely missed that Submerge Records has an updated digital downloads page with new music including this Mano De Fuego EP. And... it's excellent, all three main cuts are superb (and La Luz is a nice short reprise). Sol and Descenso are the two big pieces I think, syncopated, bright, and warm. Mito has more of a house-y vibe, a steady four-on-the-floor groove. You can find this one both vinyl and digital over on Submerge's shop.
That's all I have notes-wise. Check the links above if you want to locate (and maybe purchase) any of these tracks. This mix is coming in five, maybe six days late 'cause I needed a break. The next episode is likely to be late as well, but I will be back with another soon. More electro & techno for the coming summer.

14. | The Chemical Brothers / Chico's Groove | 49:04 |
15. | Jega / Dreams | 53:14 |
16. | Gosub / Waking Up | 56:46 |
The two most recent tracks in this hour are #6 Still Unknown by Apologist from their 2021 album Air Foundry on Frequency Domain and #7 Windig by JLo on the 2022 Strandgata comp on Moatun 7. Air Foundry is a weird and rewarding album, dubby and spacious, strange rhythms at unusual tempos. I like it a lot & I like the challenge of playing it in mixes (though I seem to keep forgetting the name of the album, sorry about that).
The last 20 or so minutes of this is inspired by an older mix from this series, MTT 109 / Dwelling Of The Day. I wanted to hear Chico's Groove by The Chemical Brothers this week (hadn't played it in a long time) and the assortment of tracks around it seemed like a good setup. Listening back to it now I think there's a better mix hiding in there. All of those pieces are good - Coat, Laundry, Bedtime Stories, Dreams, etc. - but feel a little uneasy sequenced that way. I'll have to revisit that idea someday after I've dug around for more material.
It's after midnight now so I'll call it there for notes. Check the links above if you want to locate and/or purchase any of these tracks. I'll be back next week with another mix, something fast again, suitable for warmer weather.

14. | Carl Finlow / Odyssey | 50:38 |
15. | Beta Consciousness / Past Never Ends | 56:39 |
Track #3 End Of Your Orbit by XY0815 and track #7 Ghost Train by Dan White (which discogs tells me is Rings Around Saturn) are both from Brokntoys. Older pieces, 2017 and 2016 respectively.
Track #6 Space Momentum by Tade and #15 Past Never Ends by Beta Consciousness are both from the Decima Circuits (Cottage Industries 10) compilation on Neo Ouija. I picked up a couple of these Cottage Industries comps last year & am still digging through them, really excellent stuff.
This was arranged as an easy, comfortable mix. Most of these are tracks that I've been playing for years (and most are the same tempo). It's difficult to pick out any one thing in particular; I'll say instead that everything here is good and worth your consideration. (And maybe someday I'll come back and write up more of these selections, I dunno.)
That wraps up this installment. If you like what you hear then please consider supporting the artists and labels featured; the links above will take you to where you can find and/or purchase these tracks and releases. I'll be back next week with another mix, something slower to close the month, maybe some tunes from the one Space Night comp I have.
]]>More electro & techno, this time around 130. New(ish) tracks by Vektorspace and Stratos Zero (both from last year), plus two more ~202x tracks by Sickboy and L'Automat. Otherwise this is mostly old stuff I wanted to hear today.

14. | The Martian / Sex In Zero Gravity | 53:29 |
15. | Reedale Rise / Daphnis | 58:55 |
Two tracks from Brokntoys feature: #1 Non Place by Rings Around Saturn and #10 Moment 2 by L'Automat. I've been meaning to play the latter of those two for some time; the Moments album (and Automat's work in general) is excellent.
This set was put together to hear some of tracks near the end, particularly The Martian's Sex In Zero Gravity (mixed by Eddie "Flashin'" Fowlkes, the label tells me). It's not a tune I play often but whenever I do it always makes me happy. I think I bought my copy around 2009 so I assume it's the reissue version from that year. And looking now it appears the old Red Planet catalog is now available digitally on at least beatport and boomkat, which is super cool.
I think that's all I have for notes right now (very tired, fading fast). Check the links above if you want to locate or purchase any of these tracks. I'll be back next week with another mix, something slower, as is my habit.

15. | Composite Profuse / Definitive Neglect | 55:37 |
16. | Inigo Kennedy / Disorder | 58:49 |
So this is mostly older selections, pieces I enjoy & have played before or pieces I've been meaning to get to. The one label that appears twice is Semantica with track #3 Dalek Invasion by Morphology and track #10 Metamaterial Cloaking by Plant43.
Plant43's "Sentient City" series on Semantica (Dreams Of, Awakens, Return To) is worth calling out in specific I think. There's a good variety of tempo, sound, and mood across those EPs. I return to them pretty often for mixes & listening in general. Can't recommend them enough. (And if you follow my mixes you've heard most of the tracks by now).
Another release I'd like to call out today is the Tides Remix Album by Being, source of track #14 The Sular One Remix by Insync vs Mysteron. This set was arranged mostly to play that Sular One remix ('cause I wanted to hear it). It's a very strong collection of remixes, I think I've played three of them now. Be sure to check the whole album out (and the original Tides too).
The source link I have for track #2, Thermodynamic Equilibrium by Dr. Futurist, appears to have gone dead. I first picked that up on Kurt Baggaley's 4u3 compilation (and that comp is now absent on his bandcamp page). I've changed the link to the discogs entry for 4u3 and will update it if/when the Dr. Futurist and Tactical Systems tracks become available for purchase again.
And that's all I've got for notes. This one's coming in fashionably late (middle of Friday morning). Thanks for listening, check the links above if you want to locate a track or release, and I'll be back next week with another mix. Most likely more electro.
